Royalty

Ah, the royal wedding...what pomp and pagentry and hoopla and media coverage.  It's been an ongoing joke really in our house as Katie can't understand why people care so much and Robbie is oppossed to all things that involve kissing; so it was interesting to turn on the TV this morning and watch the crowds assembling a Buckingham Palace and the coutdown clock in the corner of the screen until "the kiss".

There were hundreds of thousands in attendance there in London and an estimated two billion watched worldwide.Even if it wasn't high on my priority list, seeing a crowd like that, all in breathless anticipation, is impressive.

It all reminds me of  a bigger crowd that is soon to gather; one that I will most gladly be a part of it...

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Phil. 2:9-11

Now that is going to be some celebration!
